Sky Airlines Legacy (Vue 2, Radixx)
This is the previous generation of the Sky Airlines booking platform, the one I worked on as a Full-Stack Developer from 2021 to 2023, before leading its replacement as Tech Lead (that platform has its own page as Sky Airlines). It was built on Vue 2 and Vuex, integrated with the Radixx reservation system, and it served as the airline's primary booking engine before the full architectural overhaul.
The job was to keep that engine selling while the ground under it changed. The gallery shows the flow as customers used it, in Spanish for the Chilean market: the home page with its search widget and deal of the week, fare selection by date, the seat map, passenger details beside a running fare summary, and the confirmation page, across a four-step checkout (flights, extras, payment, confirmation).
My role involved maintaining the frontend and extending key booking features, while progressively migrating modules from the monolith to a microservices approach using NestJS, Express.js and RabbitMQ. Moving piece by piece rather than in one cut kept the booking engine in production throughout, and it laid the groundwork for the full rewrite that followed.
The stack: Vue 2 and Vuex on the frontend, in JavaScript and TypeScript; NestJS and Express.js services talking over RabbitMQ; and Radixx as the reservation system underneath.
The platform is now deprecated. Its replacement, rebuilt on Vue 3 with Single-SPA micro-frontends over the Sabre GDS, is the Sky Airlines platform I led from 2023 to 2025.
